EXCLUSIVE: Jet setting heiress Ariana Rockefeller reveals how she creates the perfect travel wardrobe for all her glamorous jaunts

Ariana Rockefeller, great granddaughter to John D. Rockefeller, is New York royalty. 

The heiress splits her time between her equestrian life in Holland and the Big Apple, but as a model, her job and interests take her to many fun and luxurious places all over the world.

Regardless of her busy schedule, Ariana's personal style never fails to embody a sense of refined elegance, understated sophistication and serene beauty — even when traveling! The brunette beauty brings Daily Mail into her home to show us how it's done.

Ariana often channels the quiet luxury aesthetic. 

Quiet luxury is the latest trend to take the fashion world by storm. The look - also called 'stealth wealth' - is made up of understated clothing crafted from very high-quality materials. 

It's not the easiest aesthetic to pull off but stars like Gwyneth Paltrow, Sofia Richie and Ariana do it effortlessly.

Jet-setting style 

Always on the go, Ariana is an expert at putting together an airport outfit that can take her from point A to point B in style.

'I am going to travel in this,' she said about an organic cotton dress by Guild of Hands.'

The beige frock features a pleated skirt and boned top with a zip front. 

'It’s perfect: Comfortable, lightweight and easy to accessorize. I still insist on being pulled together for long-haul flights — I just can’t do the sweats thing — and this day-dress is made for it. 

'I'll pair it with flats and a light sweater for those freezing plane cabins.'

A frequent flyer, she travels with a change of clothes in her carry-on. 

'I always bring pjs to sleep in but when I am awake on a flight something simple and elegant is ideal.'

According to Ariana, an elegant dress like this is also perfect for an afternoon in Milan.  

Ciao Bella 

Ariana is signed with top modeling agency, Select, based in Milan, Italy.

'Milan is still quite hot by Fashion Week in September, so lightweight clothes are it. I love this sporty look from Miu Miu.'

Standing 5' 10", a mini skirt that puts her perfect pins on display is an ideal garment to have in the world's fashion capital and it doesn't take up too much room in the suitcase.

She pairs the bottom with a cropped knit sweater, and refines the sporty chic look  with Louboutin mesh flats and a matching Chanel bag.

For evening, the gorgeous heiress turns up the heat in a figure flattering bias cut silk slip dress by Guild of Hands.

'I feel beautiful in it,' she says about the red hot number.

'The designer and dear friend, Christy Rilling, is a true artist who knows fabric and construction so well. 

'I may wear this dress for an elegant cocktail hour or an after party in Milan.'

'I love this little blue dress,' says Ariana while modeling an adorable Chanel frock in the closet of her New York City apartment.

'It’s knit and super comfortable. It’s a bit fancy for Amsterdam but I will definitely wear this for a night out in Athens or Milan.'

A self-proclaimed "pearl girl" she couldn’t resist pairing it with pearl add-ons, including Jimmy Choo sandals and a handbag by Lebanon-based brand, Vanina.

Opa! 

'Athens feels like home away from home for me,' says Ariana.

'My friends and managers there have become like family, and I love ancient Greek history and art so it’s my happy place. 

'I always try to make it to the New Acropolis Museum and then my favorite bistro in town—Papadakis by the remarkable chef Argiro Barbarigou.'

For a trip to the dream locale, Ariana packs a stunning set by Guild of Hands.

Made of raw silk, the top boasts hand embroidery, while the silk charmeuse skirt is cut on the bias for a perfect fit.

To complete the ladylike look, she reaches for Manolo Blahnik sandals and a Mark Cross Box Bag.

Black in August? Oui Oui!

Pastels are commonly associated with warmer months but 'I love summer black,' declares Ariana like a true New Yorker.

Adding, 'And it is softened by florals.'

She pairs the long sleeve top featuring a figure-flattering ruched waist with a linen skirt by Maura Hoffman, and completes the look with an Hermes bag and Chanel mules.

'I could see wearing this to tea at Claridges or for a cocktail at The Ritz in Paris,' Ariana reveals.

The modern-meets-classic ladylike ensemble is a playful nod to Old Hollywood glamour. Trés  chic!

Model off duty 

In Holland Ariana's weekdays are spent riding and training her horses, but on weekends she often finds herself in Amsterdam.

'When I am not at events or photoshoots, honestly I love being simple in jeans and a t-shirt,' she admits.

'I love house music and have made a lot of friends in the music scene in Holland so this is an easy but feel good uniform on nights out in Amsterdam: great fitting jeans and a vintage tee. 

'Also I love all things Minnie Mouse and Disney.'

With her signature long brown tresses and barely-there makeup, so she poses in a t-shirt from Amazon, Zara jeans and Gianvito Rossi sandals. 

We've seen her walking red carpets and runways looking gorgeous in quiet luxury, but my applying the same sensibility to her off duty getup, Ariana is just as fashionable on her off days.
